The pagans of yesterday can be scorned at for their idolatry and insanity, but they could just as well, scorn at today's idol of ‘liberty’, under whose name thousands of unborn foetus are agonisingly torn out of their mothers’ wombs.
Just one more gesture of kindness, just one more piece of litter taken off the pavement, or just one more mention of Allah's name, could have tipped the balance.
Worship can also be a choice, but in so far as our recognising our little worth or capability when it comes to changing the universal order, submission is inevitable.
Seeing the variability in the types and natures of people, it follows that self-idolism, as one exhibition of Liberalism will ultimately create ideologies or ‘isms’ numbering about as many as its adherents.
Such knowledge is to bring our estimation of the Creator, closer to what it ought to be before submitting to His Might and Majesty. Who or what else could fathomably be ‘worthy’.
